We were lucky enough to meet the minds behind many of Sangeeta Boochra's pieces, Abhineet Boochra and Riteek Boochra, the sons of the mastermind Sangeeta Boochra. Taking us around the store showcasing their pieces, they explained the work that goes into each collection, each item. On paper, designing is quick, but in reality, as each jewellery piece demonstrates, the process takes time, energy, and creativity. Their work is a household name for several celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, and many other notable ones.
The Sangeeta Boochra x Santoshi Shetty collection is all about embracing the unending Shakti, power of feminity, with designs inspired by Mughal era architecture. The pieces are a perfect mix of traditional and artisanal, using tribal patterns with a pinch of modernity through bold modern edges. The collection named Anantaya features a range of jewellery, from rings and earrings to pendants, handcuffs, and more. This collection formed at the intersection of feminine and masculine energies, a beautiful amalgamation of the two when donned with Indian or Western wear, would complete any look flawlessly.
In a conversation with Santoshi Shetty, she shared her views on the collaboration:
“Anantaya defines my personal style. It’s developed from a perspective of my personal and spiritual growth. I have always enjoyed styling but designing the collection and being a part of the process has been so interesting with Sangeeta Boochra and the whole team. I've learnt so much along the way! Putting everything together has been so enriching. This collection is unique, bold, defines my personality, and is something I feel the most at this moment!”
